The Crystal Grotto
The Crystal Grotto at Beaver Creek
Beaver Creek guests can enjoy the NEW Crystal Grotto - North Americna's only performing arts center created from ice. The igloo-style grotto can seat approximately 125 and guests can enjoy performances from musicians playing the ice instruments.
The Crystal Grotto is located at the top of Centennial Chair Lift (Chair 6), right next to Spruce Saddle Restaurant. Performances will be held at 1pm and 3pm on Saturday, Sundays, and Fridays falling on holiday weeks. Tickets will be sold during the week before that weekend's shows. Tickets are $10 each excluding the 3pm Saturday kids show which is free for kids 12 and under.
Guests can buy tickets at the Information Kiosk found on the west side of the ice skating rink in the Beaver Creek plaza. Tickets will be for sale frmo Monday at noon until Friday at 11:30am each week. The Information Kiosk ONLY accepts cash. After noon on Friday, ticket will only be available on the mountain, either at the Ice Bar or at the Watering Hole inside Spruce Saddle (credit cards and resort charge can be used at the Watering Hole).
The Crystal Grotto will also feature an Ice Bar, open from noon-3pm on show days. Guests can purchase drinks up to an hour before each show with cash only.
In order to access the Crystal Grotto, guests must eitherhave a lift ticket or foot pass. Foot passes can be purchased for the discounted price of $14 per adult and $4 per child at the BC Ticket office with proof of their pre-purchased show tickets on the day of the show. If a guest has not pre-purchased their Crystal Grotto tickets AND tickets are still available, they can purchase the discounted foot pass at the BC Ticket Office until 30 minutes prior to each show. Guests must be able to ride the chairlift by themselves. No infants will be allowed.
Make sure to wear proper footwear and clothing (ski clothing is highly recommended) as the lift ride up and down as well as the interior of the grotto are cold. Guests will be provided with blankets to sit on once inside the grotto.
