Hiking is the Vail Valley's most popular summer adventure activity. It's as easy as you want to make it, and the views are spectacular! Walk among the wildflowers, tackle a "fourteener" (a mountain with a 14,000 ft. peak), or just head along the Beaver Creek pedestrian path.
Beaver Creek's Colorado Hiking Center offers nature hikes and climbs for all ages and ability levels with expert local guides to help you find the best areas and trails. Hikes are daily, and range from 1 hour to a full day. Reservations are needed.
Signature Programs include Guided Mountain Bike Tours around Beaver Creek - half day group and privates are available, and Nordic Walking, which is all the rage in Europe. Also, watch for special trips and programs to be offered in Summer 2008

Summer in Beaver Creek wouldn't be complete without a bike ride on one of the numerous trails around town. Front-suspension and full-suspension bikes are available at various shops in Beaver Creek Village. Experience Beaver Creek's paved paths to challenging ascents. Beaver Creek has mountain biking for every level. Road riding is also available in scenic Glenwood Canyon, Vail Pass, and a network of bike trails and paths in Avon and Vail.
Take Beaver Creek's Centennial Express Summer Chairlift (the best seat in the mountains!) 10,200 feet to the top of Beaver Creek Mountain where you can enjoy spectacular views of the Rockies as well as a variety of activities such as volleyball, hiking, horseshoes, an orienteering park, and family picnics.
